About

Listen. Collaborate. Empower. Grow.

OUR MISSION AND VALUES: At Speech and Feeding Haven, we strive to provide better services for families in the Charlotte area. We believe every child is special and has their own unique gifts. Our goal is to help each child grow and thrive following a family-centered approach. Parents will always be involved in the therapy plan and the individual sessions that follow. Our therapists have smaller caseloads so they can spend more time with their clients and families, and they specialize in feeding, swallowing and communication delays. Our goal is to make you feel empowered to help your child grow and develop in their own way on their own timeline. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment plan. We take our experience and expertise and tailor it to fit your child's needs and your family dynamic. THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Speech and Language Therapy: Most children develop speech and language skills within specific age ranges, but sometimes children take longer to learn those skills. Our licensed therapists provide assessment and treatment of children experiencing speech/articulation delays, expressive/receptive language delays, social/pragmatic language delays and fluency disorders. Feeding/Swallowing Services: It can be very worrisome as a parent when your child is having feeding difficulties. The ability to bite, move and chew food is the most challenging fine motor skill for a child to master, and it takes a significant amount of coordination. Children with developmental delays and/or medical diagnoses are at a higher risk for feeding difficulties. Our licensed therapists provide assessment and treatment of feeding and swallowing difficulties to increase oral motor skills and create positive mealtime experiences. OUR THERAPIST: Erin Ray is the owner and founder of Speech and Feeding Haven. She is a North Carolina licensed and ASHA certified pediatric speech language pathologist. Erin has been providing feeding, swallowing, and communication therapy to families in the Charlotte are since 2010. She has practiced in homes, daycares, schools, and outpatient private practice settings. Erin has a passion for early intervention and working directly with families and other professionals, following a team-based approach to offer the best services to meet each child's unique needs. Erin started Speech and Feeding Haven to provide families a resource that provides hands-on treatment and personalized speech and language services for both parent and child. As a mom of two, she knows how overwhelming and challenging parenting can be and works hard to provide support and functional, actionable therapeutic activities that fit into everyday routines. Erin believes that finding the right provider who can devote the time needed to provide individualized support for you and your child is of utmost importance.
